MY LIFE AND OTHER MYTHS (2025)

The exhibition explores the emotional connections between dreams, meditations, and moments of realization that fill the subtle fabric of life with profound symbolism. Along our path, we learn to observe the patterns of existence, and by looking beneath our feet, we see solid ground emerging with every step. Before our eyes, images arise from the mist of being, offering us their presence before fading back into obscurity.
The paintings in this exhibition are a tribute to the images the artist encountered during moments of insight and in dreams. They are an attempt to preserve gratitude, understanding, forms, and feelings that accompanied these encounters.
"Once, during a practice of active imagination, I found myself in a forest that had long been familiar to me. There, I allowed someone - or something - to appear. Beneath a tree sat an old man wearing a dark hooded cloak. I could not see his face, but he had long gray hair and a flowing beard, and he was smoking a pipe.
When I asked, 'Do you need any help?' he laughed and replied, 'Me? No.' Then he handed me an enormous, heavy book.
I opened it. Every page was blank.
When I opened my eyes, I immediately wrote the experience down in my notebook. I made a sketch of the book and wrote beneath it: 'My Life and Other Myths.'"
